Librarians are available for research assistance at the UDC Library Service Desk Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. If you need research assistance at other times you can Ask a Librarian.

UDC Transportation


The Library-Information Commons, located on the main floor of the UDC, maintains a collection of books, regional government documents, and current periodicals. Circulation services, course reserves, interlibrary loan, and reference assistance are available.

Thirty six PCs with access to online research material and productivity software are available for student use. Twenty four laptops are available for daily checkout. The Library-Commons also provides student quota printing and a scanning workstation. Four group study rooms with laptop ready projection equipment, five individual study rooms, and an adaptive technology room for students with special needs are available

The University Downtown Center (UDC) houses the College of Community and Public Affairs (CCPA) which includes the Department of Social Work, the Department of Human Development, and the Department of Public Administration.


Quiet Places to Study in the UDC

In addition to the four study carrels in the UDC Library, the following rooms are available for quite study during UDC building hours (see below).

Rooms 124A-D (Multi-media group study rooms)
Room 215 (Study Lounge with vending machines)
Room 328 (Graduate Computer Pod)
Room 357 (Graduate Student Lounge)
Room 450 (Student Lounge)

Building Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:30am–11pm, Friday 7:30am–9pm, Saturday 8am–6pm, Sunday 11am–6pm. For holiday and break hours, please call 777-9225.
