Students provide essential assistance in all departments of the Libraries. Recognizing the value of student employees, the Libraries provide competitive wages and opportunities for annual increases based on job performance. Note: Students should be aware that if their Work Study funding runs out, it may be possible to work additional hours, but it is the responsibility of the student to find out whether their Work Study allocation for future semesters might be affected.

Bartle Library Positions

Circulation Evening Assistant (graduate position)

Duties:

  • Monitor patrons’ use of the library and its resources. Report any problems with facilities or patrons to supervisor
  • Assist patrons in locating library material
  • Provide service for photocopy machines, add paper, clear jams
  • Retrieving books and journals from the stack collection for scanning and processing
  • Sort and shelve library material

Skills: Flexibility in work schedule. Enthusiasm and motivation to successfully complete work schedule and program commitments.

Hours: Approximately 12 hours per week. Sunday and Monday evenings 6pm-Midnight.
